New guy here, I thought I would introduce myself and show you what I got. I'm sure I will have many questions along the way.
The short story is I have wanted a kayak for quite a while now and my 14 year old son saved enough money at his summer job to buy the biggest part of this Pelican castaway. (now of course we are looking for him one) We have taken down the Pacolet river fishing a few times and Buck Creek which is the backside of lake Blalock.



I added a anchor trolley.



And some extra straps on the front.



I also put another cargo area up front. The one in the back is impossible to get to in the water

Looks good I fish out of a pelican castaway (the next size down the 116)

Slime and scales will hopefully follow soon. I going to take it down the Broad River a little south of Gaffney next weekend and a few other trips planned soon. So far I am pretty happy with it. I have only been in one other sit on top kayak to compare it to. It was a Perception (older model). This one is not as fast but it is much more mobile.

Any recomendations on PVC placement for my crate? I know I need a place for my net and possibly a stakeout pole.
