Post hybrid kayaks
I was wanting to get a SOT so that I can get in and out without tipping over. Also I would like to be able to sit sideways with my feet in the water. I'm really liking the Native Ultimate. Would you be able to do those things in the hybrids like the Ultimate? I have a sit inside right now and if I want to get out I have to beach it to keep from tippin over. Anybody got some insight for me.

sitting side saddle ain't gonna happen in a Native... kinda like trying to do it in a canoe. If you want tthat kind of versatility go wiht a WS Ride 135. You can still stand up in it and sit sideways no problem and it's a SOT...

What Nikonjedi said. Not happening in an Ultimate, at least not anywhere near comfortably. if you want a hybrid AND want side saddle ability, look at the Wilderness Systems Commander 120. The Captain's Perch gives you the option for side saddle.

I picked the Ride 135 for my guide service tho. Standing ability, comfortable, reasonable speed, and a SOT.

Preciate the advice. I'm gonna try to get up to some demos and paddle a few before I buy anything. I saw a commander at grady's yesterday. I like it a lot too.
