Executive Director
I have been fishing all my life primarily freshwater lakes, rivers, and ponds. I grew up in near Camden, SC, and learned how to fish from my dad on the Wateree Lake and River. I currently live in Greenville, SC with my wife and two daughters. I bought my kayak in early 2007 and have decided that this is the best way to fish. I sold the boat with the outboard motor and now my only way of moving across the lake is "paddle power". I love being able to "thow the yak" on top of the car and head off to somewhere that most boats can't go in search of that big one. I started SC Kayak Fishing in order to bring awareness to the sport of kayak fishing and to create an online community and gathering place for kayak fishermen in SC.

I am a Navy brat who joined the Air Force and has been serving for 20 years now. I am a Master Sergeant in the USAF and an Aerial Combat Photographer by trade. Basically when I am not taking pictures of the Army in all the bad places of the world, I sit in the back seat of cool jets and take pictures. As a additional duty I sit as the squadron tactical rifle and pistol instructor. Keeping my troops trained and sharp so they survive the rigors of Combat is a near and dear task I take to heart. I have several combat tours in a lot of the trouble spots in the world and will be heading back for my 2nd tour in Iraq shortly. I have been trying to work Kayaking into the unit as a “survival” skill but have encountered stiff resistance. I am married to my beautiful wife of 16 years, Christie and have three beautiful and talented Daughters. I am getting ready to retire and hopefully put more time into my new love, Kayak fishing. I began fishing when I was about 2 with my Dad and have had a passion for chasing fin ever since. Being in the Air Force I have fished around the world but still love my home waters near Charleston South Carolina. I currently fish a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 160, the old one, and love being on the water and chasing the redfish and trout in the low country with my spinning gear and my fly rod. I have been fly fishing for about 6 years now and tying my own flies as well. I am constantly on the search for new kayak fishing buddies and I am VERY proud to be a member of SOUTH CAROLINA KAYAK FISHING!

Mornin'...“..I’ve been fishing for ages. Some of my fondest memories are days on the lake aboard my Grandfather’s boat with my Uncle and Dad. Having served in the military for 20 yrs., I was afforded the great opportunity to fish & kayak from coast to coast (East Coast meaning Japan, West Coast meaning Hawaii). I’ve been fishing in South Carolina waters since 1980. I got into paddle fishing in 1991 & kayak fishing in 2004. My entire family is involved in the sport of kayaking. My wife, son, daughter, and grandchildren all paddle, “ …a family that paddles together stays together”. A few years ago, I also started building wooden boats & kayaks. I’m looking forward to sharing our sport throughout the State with young and old alike, through fellowship, this forum and our organization. “
